You folks are great!
Yesterday I called your toll-free number to verify prices and availability of a Herman Miller Embody chair. I had visited a couple of dealers in my local area and was told that delivery would require 4 to 6 weeks. I don’t remember the woman’s name who helped me in verifying price and availability, but she sure was nice and very through. About twenty minutes later I placed an order using your web site and received an order confirmation in about ten minutes. Four or so hours later I received another email with the shipping tracking number. I couldn’t believe this, it really was in stock and you do get things out quickly. Well today the chair arrived and it was exactly what I had ordered. Next day delivery from 200 miles away sure beats 4 to 6 weeks from dealers a dozen miles to the east, and at a better price.
I spent about 30 minutes reading over the assembly instructions and putting the chair’s back in place. Then I thought I had a problem. The seat height adjustment didn’t work. Another call to your 800 number and I was quickly connected to Customer Service. The fellow who answered had evidently heard this before as he assured me that when new the joystick required more force than expected. I gave it a try while he was on the phone, and yes the seat popped up. I think he was as happy at solving my problem as I was in having it solved.
